MMR Vaccine Pre-Booking Checklist Before booking your MMR vaccination, please read the following carefully. This helps ensure the vaccine is safe and appropriate for you or your child. ✅ You can usually proceed with booking if: -You or your child are generally well today -You are not pregnant -You have not already received two documented doses of MMR vaccine -You have not had a severe allergic reaction to a previous MMR vaccine -You are not known to have a severe immune system problem ⚠️ Please do NOT book yet and contact us first if: 1. Pregnancy -You are pregnant or think you might be pregnant -You are planning pregnancy in the next 4 weeks 2. Immune system concerns -You or your child have a weakened immune system, for example: -Receiving chemotherapy or radiotherapy -Taking high-dose steroids or immunosuppressant medication -Known immune deficiency condition 3. Previous allergic reaction -History of a severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) to: -A previous MMR vaccine -Gelatine or neomycin 4. Recent vaccinations or treatments You or your child have had: -Another live vaccine in the last 4 weeks -Immunoglobulin or blood products in the past few months 5. Acute illness -You or your child are currently unwell with a fever 🧒 Additional considerations for children -Your child should be well on the day of vaccination -Mild illnesses (such as a cold) are usually fine -If your child has a history of seizures or complex medical conditions, we recommend discussing with us first ℹ️ Additional information The MMR vaccine protects against: Measles Mumps Rubella Two doses are required for full protection The vaccine is not suitable during pregnancy, and pregnancy should be avoided for 1 month after vaccination ✔️ Declaration before booking By proceeding to book, you confirm that: -You have read and understood the information above -None of the “do not book yet” conditions apply -You will inform us of any relevant medical history during your appointment 💬 Need help?
